to be engaged in one-on-one presentation via your poster and to also show
your slides or your software on your laptop, so please come prepared for
this.

Thumb tacks will be supplied. Just bring your poster and laptop.

Details:
We have block booked a limited number of rooms at the Fairmont Jasper
Park Lodge. These rooms are filling up quickly. We are therefore advising
all conference participants to book their rooms as early as possible.

we have negotiated with the lodge.

The technical program for this meeting includes 4 plenary talks, 4 keynote
talks, an Invited session on New Developments in PID Control and a Vendor-Practitioner
panel discussion on "The Role of Digital Automation Systems: Needs, Solutions
and Future Directions". We Look forward to an exciting and highly stimulating

Because the deadline for submission of abstracts was extended, the notification
of final acceptance has been delayed. We will be able to announce the
final decision to all authors by the end of this week (February 8). Your
patience is much appreciated.
● Extended Abstract
submission deadline extended to December 31st, 2007, the submission deadline
has now passed.
● For industrial
application papers: the final paper submission can be in a condensed format
to take up between 2 to 6 pages in the style sheet that can be downloaded
from this website.
● Special Journal Issue for Selected Papers
Selected papers from the Adconip proceedings will also be invited for
possible publication in the special issues of Control Engineering Practice
(CEP) and/or IEE Control Theory and Applications (IEE CTA) journal.
● Indexing
The Proceedings of Adconip2008 will be indexed and included in the IEEE
Xplore database. Scope
The International Symposium on Advanced Control of Industrial Processes
(Adconip) will be held on May 4-7, 2008 in Jasper, Canada. This symposium
has the objective of gathering researchers and practitioners from academia

The International Program Committee invites you to send an extended abstract
or summary of your work, that is no more than 2 pages long, in 12 pt. font,
in English and describes the main contributions of the paper. The submission
should include: paper title; names and affiliations of authors; full address
(including e-mail address); abstract; 3 to 5 keywords. Proposals for topics
of special sessions are especially welcome. They should contain the title
of the session, a list of at least 4 speakers and titles of their papers,
together with abstracts completed according to the above instructions. Please

There are several options for transportation. A charter bus
will be available to take attendees from the University of Alberta campus
to Jasper and back. This charter bus will leave the University of Alberta
Campus at noon on Sunday and arrive in Jasper in time for the conference
reception. For the return trip, the bus will leave Jasper Park Lodge on
Wednesday afternoon and arrive back on campus in the evening. Those who
are interested in taking this charter bus should check off the appropriate
box in the online registration page.
Direct transportation from the Edmonton International Airport to Jasper
is available via Sundog
Tours. Alternatively, attendees may rent a car in Edmonton and drive
to Jasper. This drive takes about five hours and is quite scenic.
Those attendees who wish to stay overnight in Edmonton are encouraged to
stay at the Campus
Towers Suites. This location is on campus and is also walking distance
from other forms of transportation and Edmonton's river valley. Important
